I love this display. So much to see in Yokohama. Really hard to stand out but this really sticks in my mind. More to come from the show soon.
Heading home now
It's been a great trip out to Asia with my family. Hong Kong and Japan, what a whirlwind. I'll be getting on the plane for home tomorrow with the little girl for another 15 hour flight. See everybody when I get back. Have lots more to post from the trip when I return and things settle down.
Mooneyes - The Bikes
This is my best imitation of Sparetime.jp. I've always been inspired by the photos I've seen there. I hope to share what I have shot with everyone as well, here are a few bikes. I'm going to post a lot more when I get back to Toronto next week.
Mooneyes - More "backstage"
Here are some more photos from the preparation area. It was awesome to look into the crowd as the large Exhibition Hall doors were opened and closed by Mooneyes staff as each guest rolled into the hall. What a rush it must have been for each of the guests.
Mooneyes - Before the ride in
Every year on Yokohama HRCS show day, the guests of the show ride/drive their vehicles into the exhibition hall in front of a large group of eagerly waiting fans. Me and my brother had access to the back preparation area. It was great to get some natural lighting to take shots and to feel the energy behind the scenes. We grabbed some interesting photos. Here are a few, I will be posting more this evening from "before the ride in".
Mooneyes - DicE Party
DicE Magazine threw a party at a club called the Bridge in Motomachi. I took the train over there, just a few stops from the hotel. It was a packed event. I just tried to shot a few random shots without my flash to capture the atmosphere. Here's what it looked like. I took off pretty early since I've been under the weather for the last few days and wanted to make sure I got up to get to the event early to shoot photos.
Mooneyes - Little Get Together Party
Mooneyes throws a party the evening of setup day to welcome all the guests to the show and to allow everyone to mingle. Me and my brother were very impressed by the turnout and overall vibe. Some many people but a real close knit feel all around.

Here are a few random bikes that caught my eye right away on setup day, but to be honest, I wasn't worried about shooting photos, my mind was on sensory overload. More setup day photos to follow later on.
