Road to Mooneyes – Hong Kong to Tokyo

Had to get up at 4:30am today to make it airport bus in Hong Kong for an early flight to Tokyo. I'm tired now, but glad to see the sunset at the airport. My trusty Greasy Kulture hat is with me. See you soon Guy! leaving_hk_-1 leaving_hk_-2 leaving_hk_-5 leaving_hk_-3 leaving_hk_-4

Road to Mooneyes – Calm before the Storm

Living conditions are different here for me for sure. I'd consider myself a city type. I'm glad we are staying away from the hustle of Hong Kong. Some time to clear the mind and spend with my family and before heading to Tokyo tomorrow. ma_on_shan_-3 ma_on_shan_-4 ma_on_shan_-1 ma_on_shan_-2

Road to Mooneyes – Inspiration

Taku sent me this beautiful photo of his Ace Motorcycle built bike. I've posted before. I love it. He informed me that unfortunately there won't be any Ace bikes at the show this year. That's too bad for me since they are probably my favorite and I was so looking forward to seeing some up close. I'm glad people are reaching out to me. Please say hello if you see me at the show, I'll be wearing a Throttle blog 45 Racer tshirt and have a camera in my hand. I will be trying to put my usual quiet shy side away and will be saying hello to as many people as I can. Thanks Taku! 57fl

Road to Mooneyes – Barn find

My mind is with the family at the moment but every now and then I look to see if there are signs of choppers here in Hong Kong. Surprisingly I have seen near nothing. Here's the closest, I walk by this each day to get back to the place where I am staying. I can't help but to think barn find. hk_barn_find_

Road to Mooneyes – The Peak, Hong Kong is a Jewel Case

Some photos from the Peak in Hong Kong, we went mid afternoon and stayed to see the sun go down and then the natural light show of Hong Kongs cityscape. I wanted my baby girl to see the city all lite up, she likes shiny stuff like the chrome on our bikes so I thought she'd get a kick out of this. jewelcase_-1 jewelcase_-2 jewelcase_-3 jewelcase_4

Road to Mooneyes – In Hong Kong for a few days

You know you are in Asia when you start to see the great use of bambo and the old and new side by side. So much energy. You can smell it in the air. Not going to be too many posts about bikes before Mooneyes, just the process of getting there and spending time with my loved ones. If your bored, tune in after Dec 4th. random_-2 random_-3 random_-4 random_-5 random_6

Road to Mooneyes – In Hong Kong for a few days

Traveling is slow with a baby. We landed in Hong Kong on time but were last to get out and clear customs and baggage. Happy to see my wife wearing on of the blog shirts! arrived_-1 arrived_-2 random_-1

Road to Mooneyes – A very pleasant surprise

I've finally settled in and should be able to make some posts of my trip to the Mooneyes show in Yokohama. First stop is Hong Kong for a few days. My cousin knew this was our first time flying with our baby girl so she tried to upgrade us to First Class. We got put on a waiting list and it wasn't until 2 minutes before boarding that the airline let us know we had received an upgrade. What a nice surprise and fantastic experience. It really made our trip start of with a bang and eased the stressed. Check out the last pic, the baby gear taking over! Thanks M. for the help and to all the other passengers in the front that had to put up with my little girl! executive_first_-1 executive_first_-2 executive_first_-3 executive_first_-4 executive_first_-5 executive_first_-6 executive_first_-7
